About

Founded in 1992, Asociación T4 is a nonprofit organization based in Bilbao dedicated to improving the quality of life and life expectancy of people affected by HIV/AIDS and other associated vulnerabilities. Recognized as a public-interest social entity, T4 works at the intersection of health, social inclusion, and community care through prevention, education, and psychosocial support programs.

Its mission goes beyond healthcare: T4 promotes dignity, autonomy, and safer living environments through guidance, sexual health education, and community-based accompaniment. Programs such as Bideratzen (self-support and healthy sexuality) and Ataubizu (day-care and assisted living support) reflect their holistic, human-centered approach.

With decades of experience, the organization plays an essential role in strengthening social networks, reducing stigma around HIV, and fostering inclusive spaces where individuals can access information, care, and empowerment without judgment.

What does it mean to be a Queer Destinations Committed partner?

Being a Queer Destinations Committed partner means that 100% of the team has completed our Hospitality Meets Diversity training program — a comprehensive commitment to ensuring every guest and employee is treated with respect, equity, and dignity, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. It also guarantees zero tolerance for any form of harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or violence — whether physical, verbal, or psychological — against LGBTQ+ people. By meeting these standards, our partners actively create safer, more welcoming spaces where everyone can truly feel at home.
