About

Lokate is a rural farmhouse run by a group of young people who, since 1999, have chosen to live off the land and in harmony with nature. Their daily efforts are devoted to caring for animals and maintaining the rural house, which supports their sustainable lifestyle.

The farmhouse is surrounded by green meadows and mountains, just 23 kilometers from San Sebastián and only two kilometers from the town center of Aia (Gipuzkoa), right next to the Pagoeta Natural Park.

Lokate is a 17th-century traditional Basque farmhouse that has been gradually renovated. Where the old barn and cider press once stood, there is now a spacious apartment for up to ten guests called “Lokate Haundi,” ideal for family gatherings and groups of friends.

Additionally, the former stables have been transformed into a fully equipped two-bedroom apartment known as “Lokate Txiki.”

Guests can enjoy a large open porch, perfect for children to play, relax, or have a barbecue. Cribs and extra beds are available upon request. All rooms are equipped with heating, and the kitchens are fully furnished for a comfortable stay.
