HBX Group has received the Queer Destinations Committed distinction, recognising its work to strengthen LGBTQ+ inclusion through employee education, service standards and responsible business practices.
From commitment to everyday practice
The distinction follows the rollout of a dedicated LGBTQ+ awareness and inclusive-service training programme across HBX Group. Close to 90% of the organisation’s employees took part, demonstrating broad internal engagement with the initiative.
The programme is designed to help teams better understand the experiences and expectations of LGBTQ+ travellers, colleagues and partners. It also supports the consistent application of inclusive standards across the wider travel journey.
For Queer Destinations, the recognition reflects an important change in the industry: inclusion is increasingly being treated as an operational responsibility rather than a statement of intent. Training, accountability and practical knowledge all play a role in creating travel experiences where people feel respected and understood.

Building a more inclusive travel ecosystem
The distinction also advances the strategic alliance between HBX Group and Queer Destinations. Their collaboration has already supported the development of a conscious online travel platform designed to help LGBTQ+ travellers discover and connect with destinations and businesses around the world.
By combining inclusion, technology, distribution and trust, the two organisations aim to extend better practices across teams, partners and the wider travel value chain.
A milestone with a longer-term purpose
Announced during Pride Month, the distinction highlights the value of visibility while recognising that meaningful progress requires action throughout the year.
For HBX Group, it marks a measurable step towards embedding LGBTQ+ inclusion into everyday business. For the travel industry, it offers another example of how education and shared standards can support safer, more respectful experiences for travellers, employees and communities.
